America Blooms Every Day

Wall sculpture titled “America Blooms Every Day”, created of recycled Walmart, Target and Hy-Vee bags, is on display at the Fairgrounds Coffee House in Iowa City through 2010. This “blooming” work is created of 365 used bags collected from my neighbors and my own stash of plastic grocery bags. The United States still consumes about 300-400 of these plastic bags per second. This triptych represents 1 second of consumerism.
